Frequently Asked Questions

Orders placed before 15:00 usually go out the same day, and most are processed within 1–24 hours. Once collected, delivery is typically 1–4 business days depending on your location and courier availability. If an item is out of stock, allow up to 15 working days.

Yes — standard shipping is free on all orders over R850, anywhere in South Africa. Below R850, shipping is a flat R79.

Yes. As soon as your order ships you'll get a tracking number by email. Use it on the courier's site to follow the parcel to your door.

Get in touch within 12 hours of placing it and we'll do our best to change or cancel it. Once an order has been processed and handed to the courier, we can no longer alter it — at that point it falls under our return policy instead.

Not at this time. Avilo ships within South Africa only, which is how we keep delivery fast and support local.

You have 7 days from receiving your order to request a return or exchange. Items must be unused and in their original packaging, and return shipping is for your account.

One exception: flasks with custom engraving are made to order and are final sale, so they can't be returned or exchanged.

Yes. Every Avilo product carries a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects. If something fails that shouldn't have, contact us with your order number and we'll replace it for a R158 processing fee, which covers shipping and handling.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects — not damage from misuse, accidents, or ordinary wear and tear.

That's exactly what it's built for. The shower runs on a built-in rechargeable battery and draws from any container you've got — a bucket, a drum, a JoJo tank. No mains water, no mains power. Keep the pump charged and a water cut stops being a problem.

The pump runs at roughly 4–6 litres per minute, so a 3–4 minute shower uses around 15–20 litres. A standard 20-litre bucket is enough for a full wash.

Yes. It's compact, battery-powered, and works from any open water source, which makes it popular with overlanders, campers, trail runners, and anyone rinsing off a long way from a tap.

It absorbs faster than cotton and dries in a fraction of the time, so it doesn't sit damp in a bag. It also packs down to about the size of a water bottle — easy in a gym bag, backpack, or glovebox — and it's antibacterial, so it stays fresh longer between washes.

Machine wash cool or warm, 40°C maximum. Tumble dry on low or air-dry flat, and don't iron it.

Skip the fabric softener entirely — it coats the microfibre and permanently reduces how much water the towel can absorb.

Up to 8 hours hot and up to 12 hours cold, measured in Avilo's own heat-retention test using boiling water in real South African conditions. The full results are on the Flask Heat Retention page.

Yes. On the Summit Range Flask page, pick your colour, switch on engraving, then type the name and choose a typeface — you'll see a preview before it goes in your cart. Engraving adds R99 per flask, and you can build up to four at once, each with its own colour and name.

Because each one is cut to order, engraved flasks are final sale — worth double-checking the spelling before you check out.

Proudly. Avilo is South African, built for local terrain and local realities — water cuts, load-shedding, and long weekends far past the last power line.
